Ammonia MeterAmmonia Meter
Ammonia meter are used in many applications including industrial refrigeration systems, animal feeds and fertilizers, cleaning products, and some food processing. Ammonia is a colorless gas that has a pungent odor and is composed of nitrogen and hydrogen atoms. Because it is toxic, it must be monitored carefully in all environments where it may be present. An ammonia meter helps ensure people are protected and safety standards are met.
Ammonium ion, or NH3, is a natural waste product of healthy bacteria in your intestines that is converted by your liver to another waste product called urea. Your kidneys then get rid of the urea in your urine (pee). If the levels of ammonium in your blood are too high, you can develop brain damage or coma.

HI700 Checker HC is a hand held instrument designed to detect ammonia in water. Compared to chemical test kits, the HI700 is a faster and more accurate alternative for measuring ammonia in water. The HI700 requires no external power source and uses electrochemical sensor technology to detect ammonia. Electrochemical sensors are also highly reliable and can withstand harsh environmental conditions. The HI700 includes sample cuvettes with caps (2), a reagent starter kit containing enough reagents for 25 tests, instructions and a quick start guide.
The HI700 uses an ammonia specific sensor element to eliminate false alarms caused by off-gassing and other environmental factors. The HI700 has a built-in safety feature that checks the integrity of the electrochemical sensor element every 40 seconds to ensure it is still functioning properly. If the sensor element fails, the unit will display a fault and stop the 4-20 mA output.
